Ideological and Cultural Subversion

One strange thing we see in Christianity is people rediscovering one's faith in prison is not an uncommon story to hear of. Before we make judgements like "but he's a criminal, he must not be sincere" remember that Jesus himself said "I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." If you never sinned, then you would never have to repent. The fact that repentance is central to Christianity shows that Christianity acknowledges that everyone, including Christians, are sinners. In Catholicism, we also have the Sacrament of Confession for that exact reason. Again, if we weren't sinners in need of forgiveness, then Confession would be pointless. Nobody goes to Confession to tell the priest about nice things, they go to tell the priest about the bad, even terrible, things they've done in life. Other things commonly forgotten about regarding Christianity these days include Mass attendance and the Sacrament of Matrimony, both of which have become regarded as trivial matters. But they are not. They are sacred matters. The Mass brings us closer to God. Matrimony is not merely a piece of paper or a party, it is God himself uniting two people together for life. Why then are these sacred aspects of the Christian faith being disregarded as trivial. Perhaps this is a coincidence, but we also know about the reality of spiritual and diabolical warfare. It would make sense. What would Satan want? He is against marriage (especially God’s sign for marriage as embodied in the Sacramental Matrimony), he despises children, he hates the Mass, he hates priests, he hates churches, and he certainly hates it when Christians get closer to God. So if you are growing closer towards God, then the devil will almost certainly take interest.

Keep in mind that all of this can happen to you. No matter what stage of a relationship you are in, the devil can attack it and you may not see the warning signs of an attack. If the relationship is bad and ungodly, then the devil may use that relationship to destroy you and drag you further into darkness and immorality. If the relationship is good, the devil may seek to destroy it. With the further aim at dragging you into future relationships that are bad so he can then use those relationships to destroy you. You are at risk at well. Both the married and unmarried can be attacked through their relationships by the devil. He will weaponize your weakness against you. Perhaps an unprocessed trauma. Perhaps a grudge you hold. Perhaps a sin you are struggling with. Boundaries, communication, and compromise are essential to any long term healthy relationship. Winning the argument or conflict is often not worth risking your relationship. You must choose between your ego/desires and your relationship. You must remember that the grass is not greener on the other side. Don't take seasons of unhappiness or unfulfillment as signs that the marriage is doomed (this does NOT apply to abusive marriages; if you're in one, get out!), and certainly don't take them as signs that you will find happiness and fulfillment with someone else. Remember, second and third marriages end in divorce at astronomical rates. By focussing on that reality, you can conquer the devil's attacks on your relationship and especially your marriage. A lot of divorces occur because one or both spouses believe the grass is greener on the other side, and it's not just the spouses that initiate the divorce. The spouse on the receiving end of the divorce can sometimes be just as much in the wrong, if not even more, than the spouse initiating the divorce. For example, 56% of divorce cases involve one or both parties frequently using porn. 23% involve domestic abuse of some kind. It is peak foolishness to let your unresolved trauma, dependencies, or maladaptive behavioural patterns destroy your marriage.

Spiritual and diabolical warfare doesn't just happen against individuals, but against societies as well. This is known as ideological subversion. Ideological subversion is when one group subtly and gradually but persistently undermine another groups' values, strengths, and way of life with the aim of making that other group more vulnerable. It is the Bolshevists more powerful weapon in their arsenal, even more powerful than censorship, repression, or terror. Yuri Bezmenov was a member of the Soviet KGB. After defecting to Canada, he went on to describe how communism is used as a tool to subvert and destroy societies from within. He describes four steps in particular used for this exact purpose: Demoralization, destabilization, crisis, and normalization. The first step, demoralization, takes at least 15-20 years. It is the longest and most crucial step of ideological subversion. The devil doesn't use individual sins to destroy personal relationships, he also uses societal sins to destroy social cohesion. 15-20 years is the amount of time it takes to thoroughly indoctrinate a generation. This is reinforced indoctrination; indoctrination to the point where even if the evidence is presented in front of their eyes, the indoctrinated generation will not believe it. Only when they are betrayed by their indoctrinators will finally wake up to the truth. During this step, the targeted population or demographic is bombarded with subversive propaganda. Crucially, they are told to demonize the opposing narrative without even seeking to understand said opposing narrative. By doing so, they are brainwashed into first being sympathetic towards the subversive narrative and eventually into believing said narrative is truthful.

Subversive propaganda during the demoralization stage is almost always subtle and covert. You are not supposed to have any suspicion as to the motives behind what you are being told to believe. You are also conditioned to think that anyone who even mentions the possibility of an ulterior motive behind the subversion is fear mongering. Subversive propaganda during the demoralization stage also focusses heavily on weakening and eroding away the moral fabric of the targeted population. The targeted population is made to question morality itself, to deconstruct concepts such as morality or objectivity. The most obvious example in our day and age is, of course, the sexual revolution, which is becoming increasingly extreme. Abortion has become so normalized that calling for late-term abortion is seen as a reasonable demand while calling for any restrictions on abortion is seen as regressive and even oppressive. LGBT lifestyles has become the norm so much that our society thinks it's normal for elementary school children to identify as the opposite gender and that sodomy is something certain people are just born with. Intimacy without commitment is seen as just another part of life, while polyamory and hypergamy are promoted by popular influencers of both genders on social media.

Our society has replaced committed relationships with casual sex, hookups, and porn. Sex has become commercialized and seen as a form of entertainment. This can be seen in both our consumption and production of sex. Hookup culture and even cheating are promoted in popular music. Casual sex is commonly featured in TV shows. We often forget how much we are influenced by the things we watch. Even if we don't intend to get any information from what we watch. Even if we don't intend to learn anything from what we watch. The fact that we're watching it puts us at risk of being influenced by it. Hollywood understands that, which is why they push this content. At best, they know that sex sells and sees no problem making a big profit off of it. At worst, they want to demoralize our generation by pushing filth and degeneracy. Much of what is watched on Netflix is just soft porn and morally bankrupt themes. Our society is so used to watching this stuff that we don't even think about the people who appear in them. They are just actors, just objects for our entertainment. We idolize celebrities, to the point where even the celebrities do objectively wrong acts (usually sexually immoral), we rush to their defence without a second thought.

We are what we idolize. If we idolize celebrities who engage in immoral behaviour, we too will start seeing those immoral behaviours as acceptable and then we too will start engaging in those behaviours or at least excusing them when it is done by people in our personal lives. Flooding our entertainment with sexual content and morally bankrupt themes is how the subversives destroy marriages and relationships. Countless marriages and relationships have been damaged by these films and shows. Watching sexual content or even romantic content (since they are intentionally unrealistic) for entertainment twists one's natural desires for intimacy into maladaptive or even toxic ones. It causes us to objectify the opposite gender and increases our need to seek out more quirky forms of intimacy. Suddenly, an otherwise satisfying, enjoyable romantic relationship feels like it's not enough because we start comparing it to the romances we see in these shows. All of this leads to broken relationships and in the case of marriages, especially when children are involved, to broken families and then that leads to broken societies because children growing up in broken families are much more likely to be maladjusted.

This brings us to the second step, which is destabilization, a step that takes at least 2-5 years. By this step, it is no longer about subverting the minds of a population. It is now about destabilizing the macro structure of the society itself. When the micro structure like relationships and families and schools and neighbourhoods are subverted and in disarray, that's when destabilization begins. The country's safety, security, foreign relations, and economy now gets thrown into disarray. 2-5 years is how long it usually takes for a civil war to be catalyzed. Economic crisis, political violence, and dysfunctional governance always precede a civil war, as most people don't just start killing their fellow countrymen en masse for no reason. A generation of demoralization has its effects on the political environment of the country. Politicians and bureaucrats are no more immune to the decadence and corruption compared to the rest of the population. When those in power fall into decadence and corruption, the result is catastrophic. The government becomes dysfunctional since those within it become self-serving, seeking after pleasure, personal satisfaction, and short-term gains rather than the common good. Political violence and chaos is done by the manufacturing of different political organizations in civil society. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) play a major role as well.

At this step, it is no longer just about eroding morals or subtly introducing subversive propaganda. Now, actual political propaganda is used. People are openly told they must support one cause or another without being told why. The language of freedom, equality, and humanitarianism are used in place of sound reason. Mass hysteria is promoted as a good thing and false flag issues are repeatedly brought up as pretence for inciting instability. Oftentimes, even real, legitimate concerns are hijacked in order to sow division without cause. Political polarization, often over false issues manufactured during the demoralization stage, is inflamed. Those on all sides are told that it is rational for them to demonize the other side without fully understanding why they are doing so. Then, infighting within factions break out as different members within said factions cannot compromise with one another. Finally, when tensions reach a breaking point, violence breaks out. Political violence and chaos doesn't occur in a vacuum, however. History shows that such periods usually coincide with economic crises. The economy stops working for ordinary people. Inflation makes goods and services unaffordable for the working man and woman. Mass unemployment causes the economy to grind to a halt while working and middle class struggles to put food on the table. Homelessness skyrockets and along with it are social ills such as drug use, prostitution, and crime. Desperation drives the masses to find any possible solution to their predicament. It is the perfect environment for political polarization to thrive.

This isn't just theoretical. We've seen it in recent years. What has been happening since 2020 is textbook destabilization. In 2020, much of the world's economy ground to a halt as country after country implemented lockdowns in response to the COVID-19 so-called pandemic. The effective unemployment rate in some countries approached Great Depression levels. No country was more heavily impacted by the effects of COVID-19 than the United States. During the first year of COVID alone, U.S. billionaires collectively got 40% richer while the country was plunged into the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression. Over 28 million tenants were at risk of eviction since they could not afford rent. Small businesses were devastated while large firms like Walmart and Amazon increased their profit. Schools were shut down and replaced with remote learning. The effects of COVID lockdowns on children are still being studied. It was in this environment that political polarization worsened. Trump supporters and right-wingers strongly opposed these measures, seeing them as excessive. Some, such as Michigan militias, even stormed the State Capitol and demanded the lifting of COVID restrictions. The media, Democrats, and many leftists condemned anyone who opposed these restrictions as conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers, dangerous, and even fascists.

Then, at the end of May 2020, George Floyd was killed by three police officers while in custody. This sparked months of mass protests and riots. BLM marches and riots were met with MAGA counter-protests and sometimes even violent clashes between the two sides as well as with police. Over 26 million people in total took part in these demonstrations. Anti-Black racism is a real problem in the United States. George Floyd was a victim of police brutality and murder. At the same time, George Floyd was far from the innocent man that BLM activists claim. He was a criminal with multiple prior convictions. He's served four years in prison before. He took part in an aggravated robbery where he allegedly held a gun to a woman's stomach. Of course, anyone can repent and be forgiven, and we should not seek to defend Derek Chauvin or justify what happened to Floyd. At the same time, over 26 million people taking part in these demonstrations do seem excessive. It should make you wonder why these demonstrations were so big in the first place and why the media, politicians, and civil institutions quickly threw support behind these protests. Compare that to how mainstream society has responded to Free Palestine protests calling an end to a genocide which has killed at least tens of thousands of children. The use of mass media manipulation goes a long way to get people to sympathize with some causes and not others.

Nearing the end of 2020, another polarizing topic emerged regarding the 2020 election. After Trump officially lost to Biden, the MAGA movement became hysterical. They were convinced the election was rigged and stolen; that Trump had won it but the Democrats committed mass election fraud to steal the election. The other side continued using the same rhetoric they used against those who opposed the COVID restrictions. No attempt was made at real dialogue with those who merely questioned the results of an election. How fraudulent the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election was remains unknown. There is little doubt fraud was involved, but the extent to which it occurred, and how much it changed the result of the election, is unclear. All of this culminated in the January 6th storming of the Capitol. While Trump ultimately conceded to Biden, the damage was done. Since then, American politics have only become even more polarized with both sides viewing the other with disdain and seeing them as the enemy. Yet, when we peel back the layers, we find that both sides are controlled by the same people. It's been over five years since the start of COVID-19, which means if we are really in the destabilization stage, we are overdue for the next stage of ideological subversion.

The third step is crisis, which is the climax of ideological subversion, is supposed to only take between six weeks and six months to complete. It involves an abrupt change of power in which one group usurps power over said society. In some cases, they may even be allowed into power by the status quo. Either because the status quo feels threatened in some way or because the status quo sees benefits in working alongside the usurpers. It may even be that the people don't even know when this step takes place. However, if the people do know and enough wake up at that moment from the decades of demoralization they've been subjected to, then the result will likely be a civil war. Crisis is the climax that determines whether the country being subverted will have an abrupt usurpation of power or devolve into civil war that will likely result in mass casualties. Either way, the country loses, at least temporarily. Now, it is up to the people (at least those who have waken up) to fight back. The subverters are, of course, well aware of that reality and they will use any means to hold onto the power that they have seized.

The fourth and final step is normalization, which is when the ideological subversive force solidifies their control over a given society. Whereas prior to the climax, ideological subversion involved instilling chaos, disorder, and instability among the population, the post-climax stage does the opposite. Now, the facade of freedom, equality, and humanitarianism is dropped. The immorality aspects remain, since immorality creates alienation, weakens social bonding (especially families and communities), and keeps people dependent. A weak, corrupt, and decadent society is far more easier to control than a strong, virtuous, and dutiful one. So subversives obviously benefit from keeping it that way. What they will suppress is political dissent and opposition, along with anything that resembles dissent and opposition. Not only is decadence and immorality widespread, but now any organization or institution that is seen as promoting morality and opposing decadence is criminalized. The various political groups manufactured during the destabilization step are also criminalized. Suddenly, these same activists, academics, and dissidents that were supported by the subversives find themselves being treated like hardened criminals. Their vision, no matter how well meaning, is discarded like trash. Next comes anyone deemed by the subversives to have not been thoroughly demoralized enough. Those who can think for themselves become a potential criminal in this new system. All opposition is stamped out. The remaining masses are prohibited from listening to or talking about any perspective that differs from that of the subversives. They are provided the necessities at affordable prices but only in exchange for their compliance. If they refuse, the supply line can be easily cut off. A weak and starving opposition is easy to stamp out. Use of weapons is monopolized in the hands of the state; confiscation of weapons carried out in the name of security.

In the Bolshevik revolution of 1917, the communists failed to employ demoralization in the Russian Empire. As a result, the Russian Empire remained a predominantly Orthodox Christian society. Due to other political factors, the Bolsheviks succeeded in overthrowing the Tsar and by means of war, famine, and repression, succeeded in establishing the Soviet Union. This was done against much resistance as Orthodox Christian peasants, especially in places like Ukraine, fought back against the Bolsheviks. Furthermore, Lenin and Trotsky attempted to start a world revolution for communism, beginning with starting communist revolutions throughout Europe. They failed because many Europeans rejected communism. Learning from their mistakes, Bolshevists in the century since have used demoralization as their most crucial component in ideological subversion. Instead of simply using violent revolution and red terror, modern day cultural Bolshevists use soft power to weaken society, turning the population into mindless automatons. It is crucial to point out that cultural Bolshevists can simultaneously be capitalists because Bolshevism is a tool of ideological subversion rather than a set of principles to be followed.

Mainstream academia is saturated with cultural Marxism. Much of the faculty, professors, and students alike see left-wing or even Marxist ideology as being the way forward. They genuinely believe that a more left-wing society will be better for humanity. Furthermore, they envision that they will be play a vital role in bringing about this new utopian society and helping it develop for the betterment of mankind. This is a vision they sincerely hold but as we've pointed out, this is not the vision of the subversives. Universities used to be places of higher education. When they first began in the Middle Ages, that was what they were meant for. Today, however, they have been reduced to places of indoctrination and subversion. Most degrees are useless and exist only to serve a small elite in one way or another. Whether that be by putting students into massive student loan debt that they can never repay due to the predatory interest-based debt system or by training them for meaningless and bureaucratic jobs or by indoctrinating them into cultural Marxist propaganda. Again, cultural Marxism is not an ideology on its own. It is a tool of subversion, meant to make adherents weak, confused, and easily deceived or corrupted by false hope, political Messianism, Utopianism, and/or moral relativism.

We are seeing a rift forming, however, as many students on campuses throughout North America organize in support of Palestine against Israel’s genocide while the universities themselves continue to invest in Israel, we’re seeing the tides shift. Still, a lot of these young people who support Palestine maintain their left-wing ideological beliefs as this is what they’ve been taught to believe on social media and on campus. Palestine has become a mainstream leftist cause following October 7th, 2023. The fact that otherwise progressive establishments are cracking down on supporters of Palestine should give us a pause and give us a hint as to which group is carrying out the ideological subversion of our society.
